I had an exhibit at SM North EDSA Annex last month. The exhibit was part of launch event of Canon Marketing Philippines. Canon Marketing Philippines displayed their latest Canon Pixma inkjet printers. The event also meant to introduce the three Canon Pixma Print Ambassadors.

The images that I shot for the exhibit were all shot at the pottery workshop of Ugu Bigyan in Tiaong, Quezon. I exhibited 20 images at SM North EDSA. I tried a little experiment during my shoot. I powered my Canon EOS 7d with 6 pieces of Energizer Max AA batteries. I shot a total of 476 RAW images and the battery level of my camera indicated that the Energizer Max batteries still retained around a 50% charge capacity.

I started a little experiment that began April 4, 2011. My family and I went to Hong Kong for a short four-day vacation. I decided this time to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries to power my Canon EOS 7d. I didn’t want the hassle of having to bring a charger. I wanted the convenience of using AA batteries that could be found in almost any grocery, hardware or convenience store.

I shot 977 RAW images during those four days. I was pleasantly surprised to see afterwards that the battery level of my camera indicated that the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries still had a full charge. I got a multi-tester and went to Mike Alcid for assistance. We took a baseline reading of an unused Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA battery. We then measured the voltage and mAh of all the batteries that I used during my vacation in Hong Kong.
